FEATURES

The PSMR1000 is a roof covering system. It consists of two steel plates and a mineral wool core with a density of 100 - 120 kg/m3. The PSMR1000 roof system provides easy and fast installation, fire resistance, high thermal insulation and waterproofing.

PSMR1000 roof panels can be combined with dual layer translucent polyester panels that provide natural lighting to the area covered, contributing significantly to energy savings.

The panels are mainly produced with galvanized and pre-painted steel sheets. Production with aluminum sheets and stainless steel is possible upon request.

Available lengths from 2 up to 8 meters. For smaller/greater lengths please contact us.

APPLICATIONS

The PSR1000 roof covering system can be used in numerous applications such as roofs of metal buildings, canopies, parking lots, sports facilities, bungalows, mobile homes and many other constructions.

Its mineral wool core provides high levels of fire resistance covering a wide range of applications.

Available lengths and overlapping:

Available lengths from 2 up to 8 meters. If two or more panels have to be installed along, overlapping is possible. We usually recommend an overlapping of 250mm - 300mm.

TRANSLUCENT PANELS

Translucent panels consist of two trapezoidal polyester sheets.

The top sheet (1,50mm thickness) has a fixed height of 40mm.

The base sheet (1,00mm thickness) is available in different heights, depending on the applied PUR panel thickness.

WATERPROOFING & FIXING MATERIALS

For the proper installation of all roof panels, we offer a wide range of fixing materials such as washers, self drilling screws, washers, metal caps. There are also special waterproofing materials suitable for roofs with small inclination and highly humid areas (sealant tapes, foam inserts).

We recommend 2.4 screws / m2.

FLASHINGS

After installing the panels, customized flashings are necessary in order to waterproof and decorate the construction.

ENVIRONMENT

The roof covering system PSMR1000 is produced with environmental friendly materials, is not considered harmful and is fully recyclable.

BALING & TRANSPORT

Baling

Packaging is done automatically and includes a) installation of polystyrene inserts under the bundle and b) wrapping of the bundle with a protective membrane.

For international road transport and overseas transport, special packaging is available.

The number of panels in each bundle depends on the thickness of the panel itself and the mode of transport:

Transport

The transportation of panels is mainly made by 12-13.5m long open trucks (platforms). For container transport, bulk cargo or TIR transport , please contact us..

The unloading of goods is the sole responsibility of the buyer.

HANDLING & INSTALLATION GUIDE

NOTE:

The information shown contains suggestions or guidelines and is not intended to cover all applications or building requirements. It is the responsibility of the designer/installer to ensure that this information meets particular building conditions and/or code requirements. It is also the responsibility of the installer to ensure that all safety requirements are taken.

GENERAL HANDLING

When handling metal panels, care should be taken to protect the finish from scratching or abrasion. Dragging panels across one another will unnecessarily increase the risk of scratching. Individual panels should be carried vertical to the ground by grasping the edge of the panel.

STORAGE AND PROTECTION

Bundled material should be kept dry and above ground. Material should be tarped (not with plastic) or protected from weather conditions by other means. Allow for proper air circulation to prevent moisture buildup under tarp. Keep bundles slightly inclined to allow for moisture runoff. If the panels become wet, all panels should be removed from bundles and individually dried. Prolonged storage of panels is not recommended. If conditions do not permit immediate installation, extra care should be taken to protect sheets from condensation, developing white/red rust or watermarks.

MECHANICAL HANDLING

A forklift or crane can be used to handle unopened bundles up to 8m in length. For forklift unloading, forks should be spread to maximum width and placed at center line weight distribution of bundle. For crane unloading, a spreader bar should be used to evenly distribute the weight of the bundle. Cable supports or chains will cause damage to the panels and should not be used. Heavy duty straps are recommended.

PANEL INSPECTION

All bundles of panels should be inspected upon delivery from Panelco SA (number of panels, panel condition etc).

FIELD CUTTING

Some field cutting and fitting of panels is to be expected by the installer and minor field corrections are a part of normal installation work. Always cut one panel at a time. For small cuts, hand-held electrical saws are recommended. For best cutting results a panel ribbon saw is recommended. Cutting of panels and driving of fasteners will create metal shavings. These metal shavings must be swept or removed from the panel surface. Failure to do so will cause rust stains on the panel surface.

FASTENING DETAILS

The use of proper fasteners and installation procedures is an important factor in the appearance and performance of the panel system. Roofing and siding may be installed using fasteners with weather seal washers.
