PUR/PIR ROOF PANELS
ROOF PANELS
Roof panels PUR (Polyurethane) and PIR (Polyisocyanurate) are rigid thermal insulation composite panels used in roofs and wall cladding for commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential buildings. They consist of two metal surfaces (usually pre-painted galvanized steel) with an intermediate core of high-performance PUR or PIR rigid foam insulation.
The panels offer excellent thermal insulation, mechanical strength, and weather protection, making them an ideal solution for new constructions and renovations.
The recommended minimum slope for installing roof panels is 8-10%.
For installation on shallower slopes or in areas with increased rainfall and winds, the use of sealing mastic around all panel joints is recommended.

SPECIAL TRIMS / GUTTERS / RIDGES
Special trims are essential components in the installation of polyurethane panels, offering both functional and aesthetic benefits. They are designed to ensure a clean finish and watertightness, covering joints, internal/external corners, drip edges, fascias, eaves fillers, ridges, and gutters, directing water away from critical points of the building.
They are made from high-quality galvanized or pre-painted steel sheet and are available in a variety of standard or custom-designed profiles, depending on the panel geometry and project requirements.
Their main functions are protection from weather conditions, preventing the entry of water, air, and dust into the building. They also improve the stability and alignment of the panels while aesthetically upgrading the building.

Fastening Caps
The caps are specially designed with a shaped form to fit precisely over the roof panel profiles and are used in conjunction with self-drilling screws for panel fastening. They are made from high-specification galvanized and pre-painted steel with enhanced coatings for oxidation resistance.
Main Features:
- Prevent panel deformation or breakage at the fastening point.
- Distribute the screw load over a larger area, reducing stress on the panel.
- Have an integrated elastic washer for a watertight application, especially in outdoor installations.
- In areas with strong winds or loads, they protect against the screw pulling through the thin panel material.

Self-Drilling Twin-Thread Screws
Self-drilling twin-thread screws are important fastening elements that combine two separate thread zones and a drill point, offering increased retention, stability, and performance during fastening.
The drill point allows installation without pre-drilling and is available for various support thicknesses (purlins / girts). The twin-thread zone allows faster drilling and screwing, while also offering greater resistance to stripping and vibrations.
It also reduces the risk of surface separation in composite materials. The lower thread (near the drill point) quickly penetrates the base material, while the upper thread (closer to the screw head) engages the top material, providing strong clamping and limiting movement or loosening.
Choosing a branded screw with specifications significantly reduces screw losses during installation and the risk of oxidation spreading to the panels.
For the correct screw selection, please consult the relevant brochures.
